What woman doesn’t love chocolate? (Okay, I do know a few, but still.)
My guest today is Pamela Toler. She is the author of the excellent book Women Warriors, which covers Vikings and African queens to cross-dressing military doctors and WWII Russian fighter pilots, Women Warrior reclaims lost stories of women for whom battle was not a metaphor. She is also the author of the soon-to-be-released book The Dragon from Chicago, which tells the captivating story of Sigrid Schultz—one of the earliest reporters to warn Americans of the rising threat of the Nazi regime—a story that draws striking parallels to the rise of fascism today.
